We are now in the month of February 2009. We often relate this month to love. It is a great time to express to those you do love just how much you love them. The flowers, the candies and the jewelry are all beautiful ways of showing love. It's important that we show people we love them not just tell them we love them.
However, I have discovered through conversations that there are some Christians who spend a lot of their time trying to convince God how much they love Him. They tell Him and they show Him. But these same individuals don't have any understanding of how much God loves them. The Bible tells us that we love Him because He first loved us. There was a disciple named Peter who was often telling Jesus how much he loved Him, how loyal he was to Him and how he would defend Him. There was another disciple named John who called himself the disciple that Jesus loved. When trouble and persecution came Peter was denying he ever knew Jesus while John was standing at the foot of the cross. My point is that you can't truly and accurately express your love to God until you first understand that He loves you. 1 John 4:10 says, "In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins". God loves you so much and He wants you to get this truth settled in your heart so that you can live the abundant life, confident that your Father in Heaven loves you. So in this time of love, open your heart to receive the abundant love of God. It will make a difference in your life. God bless you.
You're God's best and God is on your side.
